Harrity for Parity® is a free, four-day program designed to equip women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in the patent field. The workshop goes beyond technical training with firsthand accounts from successful women in patent law about barriers overcome, paths to success, and advice for navigating challenges unique to women and underrepresented professionals.

The program is designed for female science and engineering students, law school students, recent graduates, and practitioners looking to launch or advance careers in patent law. Previous attendees have rated the program an outstanding 9.5 out of 10.

Hosted by Harrity Partner Elaine Spector, who brings over 20 years of IP law experience and was the first female Partner at the firm.

Eligibility

  • In good standing as student or recent graduate at ABA accredited school
  • Technical background (e.g., B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
  • Sincere interest in practicing patent law
  • Eligible to sit for US Patent Bar or USPTO registered
  • Reside in the United States
