Elliott Shine is a patent attorney with experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications for clients in the United States and foreign countries. Such patent applications relate to various technical fields, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, semiconductors, digital twin technology, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and cyber security.
Before joining Harrity & Harrity, Elliott practiced as an associate at IBM. At IBM, he was a member of IBM’s Patents+ Quantum Team and performed case manager duties for various technological areas from quantum algorithms and quantum error correction to intelligent workflow solutions. He also prepared and negotiated agreements for the exchange of confidential information between IBM and client organizations as part of IBM’s Agreement for Exchange of Confidential Information (AECI) Team and supported the Consulting Legal Team through acquisitions and customer/procurement agreements.
Elliott received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, completing his legal studies while working as the Student Fellow for the St. John’s Intellectual Property Law Center and interning at a boutique IP law firm on Long Island. Elliott earned his B.A. from The Ohio State University. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the Pennsylvania State Bar, and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Elliott enjoys audiobooks, golf, gardening, and playing pickleball outside of the office.
