Scott Dobson is a patent attorney with extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications across a broad range of computing technologies.
Before joining Harrity & Harrity, Scott spent 13 years as in-house counsel at IBM. At IBM, he also managed large patent portfolios and invention pipelines across various technologies, directed outside counsel on patent preparation and prosecution, and advised on third-party patent assertions.
Scott earned a Juris Doctor from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
Scott lives in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with his wife and three daughters. Outside work, he enjoys golf, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
