Dr. Yuanmin Cai is a senior patent agent at Harrity & Harrity, a results-driven professional focused on the management, protection, and monetization of intellectual property with an emphasis on semiconductor devices. Prior to joining Harrity & Harrity, Dr. Cai served as a patent agent at the patent center of IBM, a principal lead patent agent at GlobalFoundries, a team lead and senior patent agent at the microelectronics division of IBM, and a patent agent and scientific advisor at PCZL LLP in New York City, together over a span of 23 years.
Prior to working in the intellectual property field, Dr. Cai was a Distinguished Engineer and a Senior System Designer at major telecom companies, a research and post-doctoral fellow at a national research institute in Canada, and an assistant professor in Japan.
Dr. Cai received his Doctor of Engineering in Electronics from Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology) in Tokyo, Japan, and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China.
Dr. Cai currently resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife, and enjoys playing pickleball, walking, and listening to music.
