Clarissa Brandt is a member of the Patent Prosecution Support Team. Clarissa stumbled into patent law by accident and discovered a real passion for it. Serving as a Patent Prosecution Specialist at Harrity since 2020, Clarissa brought two years of previous patent experience and a few years of family law experience with her. She loves the marriage of English, Science, and Law that the Patent field allots and remains fascinated by the nuances of this field.
Outside of the office, she is an avid reader, runner, and foodie. If she isn’t running a 5K, hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or biking with her husband, she can usually be found catching up with friends discovering a new restaurant in her area of South Carolina. On rainy days she will likely be curled up in a chair with Taylor Swift and her cat or dog, reading anything she can get her hands on.
In the spring she volunteers as a coach for Girls On The Run at a local middle school. GOTR works to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident through running. Clarissa is passionate about empowering others and building up a new generation of able, independent women.
Clarissa loves the flexibility that remote working at Harrity provides. The people and culture of the firm also make it a joy to come to work everyday.
