Jeffrey Boomer is a patent agent with a technical background in mechanical engineering and mechatronic systems. He works on Harrity’s Analytics Team as an Innovation Specialist.
Prior to joining Harrity & Harrity, Jeffrey worked in the legal tech startup space, where he focused on product development and client relations. He previously worked at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for over a decade, where he held roles as a Primary Examiner, Search & Classification Examiner, and Review Quality Assurance Specialist in the Office of Patent Quality Assurance (OPQA). While at the USPTO, he examined and reviewed patent applications spanning vehicle controls, navigation, vehicle hardware, medical devices, medical treatments and diagnostics, gaming, and related mechanical and control areas. Earlier in his career, Jeffrey worked as a laboratory assistant in the Rotating Machinery and Controls Laboratory (ROMAC) at the University of Virginia, where he focused on shaft-bearing control systems. In addition, Jeffrey has experience collaborating with software developers and marketing and business development teams at startups and in industry.
Jeffrey is fluent in German and is currently studying French and Italian. Outside of work, he enjoys painting and traveling.
