BIOGRAPHY

Pattilyn McLaughlin is a registered patent agent with a background in electrical engineering, physics, and atmospheric sciences who specializes in drafting and preparing patent applications for our clients. Pattilyn has over five years of drafting experience in various technologies with a focus in the telecommunications industry.

Pattilyn’s background in drafting patent applications covers various aspects in the field of telecommunications relating to 4G, 5G, 6G, and WLAN protocols including multiplexing techniques, switching, access techniques, cellular and data communications, antennas and antenna structures, as well as autonomous/semi-autonomous vehicles including control signaling and navigation.
Although Pattilyn specializes in drafting and preparing patent applications, she has extensive experience prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. as well as non-U.S. jurisdictions in technologies such as circuit design and amplifiers, memory operations, semiconductors, wireless communications, autonomous/semi-autonomous vehicles including control and navigation, home security and automation, image processing, optics and imaging, cryptography and network security, and data processing. These experiences lend to Pattilyn producing robust patent applications informed by years of prosecution knowledge that defensively stage the patent application for success during prosecution and beyond.

Pattilyn is a volunteer for Craft Lake City and at the Volunteers of America: Utah Youth Resource Center. In her spare time, she strives to spend as much time as possible in the outdoors with her dog, Luna. Some of her personal achievements include hiking the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim, completing her 300-hour registered yoga teacher training, and coming back from various injuries to pick up mountain biking in her thirties.
