The Harrity Academy® is a free, self-paced learning platform designed to help practicing and aspiring patent professionals elevate the quality of their patent application drafting and prosecution skills. The Academy offers a comprehensive portal focused on patent application drafting, specifically in the electrical and mechanical fields.
Participants can progress through the material at their own pace, gaining practical insights and expertise that support their professional growth. To enhance the learning experience, participants can connect with patent experts at Harrity to ask questions and receive guidance on the course materials.
The Harrity Academy® focuses on expanding opportunities in the field of patent law for practicing and aspiring patent professionals.
To enroll in the Harrity Academy®, you must meet the following requirements:
- You have or are obtaining a technical degree from an accredited college or university in a STEM field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent discipline.
- Please note: The materials provided in the Harrity Academy® are specifically tailored to non-life sciences inventions. While participants with life sciences backgrounds are welcome to apply, the techniques and examples described may not be directly applicable to drafting and prosecuting life sciences patent applications.
- You are registered to practice before the USPTO (having passed the Patent Bar) or are eligible to sit for the Patent Bar. See requirements HERE.
- You reside in and are authorized to work in the United States.
