HARRITY PRO-BONO PROGRAM

GIVE 2 GIVE

What does “Give 2 Give” mean? At Harrity, Give 2 Give means giving back for the sole purpose of helping others, and expecting nothing in return. It is a shared value among the Harrity team, and one of several facets that makes our culture so unique.

PRO-BONO PARTNERS

Harrity works with Community Law Center (CLC), a legal services organization that has been dedicated solely to strengthening neighborhoods and the nonprofit sector for over 30 years. Through its lawyer-referral program, CLC matches neighborhood-led groups, community associations, grassroots organizations and small nonprofits that lack financial resources with volunteer lawyers who provide free representation to build safer, equitable, and vibrant communities.

Currently, Harrity is partnered with the Homeless Persons Representation Project (HPRP), providing pro bono work for the Veterans Legal Assistance Project (VLAP). VLAP helps veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness obtain critical VA disability benefits, other federal and state disability benefits, and discharge upgrades.  VLAP operates a legal clinic twice-monthly at the VA Medical Center in downtown Baltimore and rotating legal clinics in rural counties.

TESTIMONIALS

“On behalf of Top Flight Corvette Club, please extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Alexander Zajac for assisting us on legal matters. His input was instrumental in Top Flight achieving State and Federal compliance as a 501C 3 organization. If legal services are needed in the future, Community Law Center will be our first stop.” – Antoine D. Jones (President, TFCC)
