The MFI 4.0 provides the training and tools needed to propel patent law firms to the next level of success. This program includes free training & strategy classes, and will begin and conclude with live pitch sessions to a panel of in-house IP attorneys from leading corporations. The MFI 4.0 is an integral part of Harrity’s ongoing commitment to progress, empowering individuals to succeed in the patent field.
The Harrity MFI 4.0 program is comprised of two comprehensive phases, that will take place over the course of several months through a combination of self-learning and live classes:
FIRM PITCH
The virtual program begins with the participants pitching their patent law firms to a panel of corporate partners. Program participants will then work through the MFI 4.0 lessons and have support from the Harrity Team in creating their new brand voice, improving their social media presence, updating their website, and perfecting their messaging, before concluding with a final pitch to the same panel of in-house counsel and utilizing the strategies learned in the MFI 4.0 lessons.
LAW FIRM OPERATIONS
Participants will learn how to implement processes to ensure the firm is consistently producing a high-quality, uniform work product; how to provide an outstanding customer experience for clients; how to hire and train superstar attorneys and support staff; how to implement a culture of belonging and innovation; how to create a law firm brand; how to pitch clients; and additional best practices in relation to running a patent law firm as a successful business.

How can my established firm benefit from this program?
The goal of the MFI 4.0 is to help firms improve their operations and to give these firms an opportunity to potentially earn business from our corporate partners.
Do I have to travel to participate in this program?
This is a 100% virtual program with lessons and panel pitches done over video calls. While the exact times are to be determined, the majority of the courses will be taught in evenings to accommodate everyone’s schedules. The MFI 4.0 program is a combination of self-learning (watching videos and completing assignments on your own timeline) and live lessons (conducted over video conference calls).
Why is Harrity & Harrity doing this program?
After John Harrity, one of the founders of Harrity & Harrity, suffered and survived a widow-maker heart attack in May of 2016, the partners decided that the firm needed to be more service-driven. This led to the launch of Harrity 4 Charity in 2017 and, in 2018, the creation of our MFI program. Like our charity initiatives, MFI 4.0 is dedicated to giving back and creating opportunities for law firms to thrive. Our goal is to help firms strengthen their operations, gain key insights from industry leaders, and position themselves for long-term success in the patent field.
