Ferrell Alman specializes in drafting and preparing patent applications for our clients. He also has experience working on complex patent prosecution, litigation, and portfolio strategies, including preparing opinions and analysis regarding patentability, infringement, and freedom-to-operate investigations, managing international patent preparation and prosecution activities, and advising on damages and monetization issues.
Ferrell has represented clients in numerous technology areas, including wireless networking, machine learning and computer-vision software, cybersecurity and encryption software, home security systems and software, telecommunications cabling infrastructure, medical devices, DNA synthesis, and pharmaceuticals.
Although Ferrell specializes in drafting and preparing patent applications, he has extensive experience prosecuting patents in U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions, and Ferrell also has experience litigating patents in U.S. federal courts. This background allows Ferrell to prepare resilient patent applications informed by years of prosecution and litigation knowledge that stages the patent application for successful prosecution and post-issuance activities.
