Liz Montano is a seasoned patent professional with over 13 years of experience in patent prosecution. She specializes in preparing and filing responses to Office Actions, Formalities Notices, and Notices of Appeal, as well as managing Issue Fees and Maintenance Fees. Throughout her career, Liz has prepared and filed hundreds of patent applications and has developed a deep understanding of the patent process from start to finish. Prior to joining Harrity & Harrity, she served as an IP Specialist, where she gained broad experience supporting prosecution efforts across a wide range of technologies.
Originally from Bolivia, Liz moved to the United States at the age of 12 and now resides in Northern Virginia. She is currently a member of Harrity’s New Applications team and is enthusiastic about contributing to the firm’s commitment to quality and innovation.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys baking sourdough bread and spending time with her daughter, Mia. Their family includes two dogs—Yogi, a mini golden doodle, and Panda, a Shih Tzu. Together, they enjoy exploring new restaurants, discovering small towns, and staying active in their church and school communities. They are also proud supporters of Lionel Messi.
