Harrity & Harrity is the Presenting Sponsor of the VIRTUAL 2020 Lawyers Have Heart, a 5K run, 10K race, and fun walk that benefits the American Heart Association. We'll be running June 12th - 14th, alongside our friend and Managing Partner, John Harrity, who survived a widow maker heart attack in May 2016. Registration is available online through race weekend. We hope to see you online!

Since 1991, Lawyers Have Heart has raised over $14 million for The American Heart Association and each year is one of the largest 10K races in the Washington D.C. area.  This year, the race will be held virtually, allowing people across the globe to come together in the fight against cardiovascular disease. As co-chairs of the event, Harrity’s Sandra Maxey and John Harrity have set a goal to have the most event participants ever, which can be achieved with your help.  To participate in this FREE virtual event, or to contribute to this deserving organization, please use the link below to donate via our team page.

In order to control the spread of COVID-19, the CDC is recommending postponing events and gatherings with crowds of 50 or more. As a result, we have adopted strategies that allow participants to fully experience the 10K Race, 5K Run & Walk VIRTUALLY.

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the American Heart Association’s – Lawyers Have Heart 10K Race, 5K Run and Walk, so starting on May 14th we will be launching 30 days of content culminating in a worldwide effort to celebrate our impact on June 12,13 and 14. Activities will include a virtual leaderboard, suggested routes to run your own 10K or 5K, training tips, more opportunities for you to engage with our mission digitally, and healthy living resources to look after yourself and your loved ones while social distancing.

“Lawyers Have Heart has always been about encouraging heart-healthy lifestyles and raising vital funds for education and research, a mission that has a new kind of importance during this pandemic. The virtual event is inspiring people who have been stuck at home and social distancing to get active in any way they feel comfortable, while creating a safe way to come together. On the weekend of June 12-14th, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, from all across the globe, will ‘virtually’ unite in a fantastic community event, and we look forward to having the most participants yet.” – John Harrity, Event Co-Chair
