Harrity & Harrity is excited to launch Patent Pathways, a Diversity & Inclusion Program dedicated to increasing numbers of registered patent attorneys and patent agents within the least-represented demographics and improving awareness of patent career opportunities for engineers in underrepresented demographics.
We’ve reached out to patent professionals from varying backgrounds, upbringings, educations, demographics, and perspectives to learn about their own Patent Pathways, including how they found out about patent law, what obstacles they faced during their journey, and the best advice they have for budding patent professionals.

Patent Pathways aims to register 20 African-American/Black women with the patent bar in the first year through this free, virtual program. All classes will take place in the evening to accommodate current work and school schedules. Future Patent Pathways will focus on other underrepresented demographics. All patent bar expenses will be paid for each participant.
