Jan Little-Washington is a patent attorney specializing in preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Her practice focuses on electrical and computer technologies, including telecommunications, computer hardware and software systems, computer networking, web browsers, optical systems, internet hardware and software systems, and e-commerce.
Jan is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law. Jan also is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, qualifying as a Nuclear Reactor Operator, Radiological Controls Shift Supervisor, and an Electronics Technician. While in the Navy, she worked in the Trident Submarine community and at the Office of Naval Research. Jan has also worked as a Development Engineer with Honeywell.
Prior to joining Harrity & Harrity, Jan practiced law for over 18 years with law firms based in Washington, D.C., and Seattle, Washington. She has worked with developers, engineers, business leaders, in-house counsel, and university technology transfer professionals to identify methods of protecting intellectual property created from software, hardware, business methods, and internet related products and services.
