Joseph “Josh” Falkiewicz is a patent attorney specializing in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. His practice focuses on electrical and computer technologies, including computer hardware and computer software relating to telecommunications, cloud computing, computer networking, databases, and security systems. In addition, he has a keen interest in virtual reality and artificial intelligence technologies.
Josh is a graduate of The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During his time there, he was president of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and an active member on Moot Court. While he earned his Juris Doctorate, he was concurrently enrolled at Wayne State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He also holds a degree in General Management from Michigan State University.
Prior to joining Harrity & Harrity as an associate, Josh successfully completed the firm’s Patent Associate Trainee program. He was also a summer associate at Young Basile Hanlon & MacFarlane where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications, drafted invalidity and non-infringement opinions, and prepared claim charts.
