Associate Patent Attorney

REMOTE OPTIONAL

Harrity & Harrity, LLP is looking for remote or local patent professionals to prepare and/or prosecute patent applications for leading global technology companies, including numerous Patent 300® companies.

Who you are:

  • You have excellent writing skills

  • You have a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent fields
  • You have 3+ years of recent preparation or prosecution experience (former Patent Examiner experience is a plus)

Senior Patent Review Attorney

REMOTE OPTIONAL

We are looking for highly experienced, remote patent attorneys to join our uniquely skilled review team. Responsibilities will primarily consist of the review of patent applications and patent application prosecution prepared by associate attorneys for leading global technology companies, including numerous Patent 300® companies.

Requirements:

  • You have 15+ years of patent/patent law experience
  • You have 10+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
  • You have a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent fields
  • You have an excellent eye for detail
  • You have a positive attitude

You have experience as at least one of:

  •     a Federal Circuit or District Court judge,
  •     a PTAB judge,
  •     a PTO Primary Examiner or SPE,
  •     a Partner of a law firm,
  •     a litigator, or
  •     an in-house counsel

Position available for full or reduced time (1200 hours annual minimum).

New Applications Specialist

REMOTE OPTIONAL

Are you looking for a rewarding position with an opportunity for advancement in an innovative, friendly culture? We are looking for a New Applications Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities include:

  • Support our patent drafting team
  • Review processes and filing new applications, including utility and provisional applications, PCTs, continuation-in-part
  • Instruct foreign associates to file foreign applications
  • Review and report all associated formalities that are received from the US and/or Foreign Patent Office after filing new applications
  • Assist attorneys with managing daily docket entries relating to the drafting and filing process

Who you are:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a new patent applications support role
  • You have excellent organizational skills

Harrity Academy

FREE PATENT COURSES

The Harrity Academy is a free program which introduces diverse participants to the field of patent law, provides exclusive training, practice materials, and mentorship, and teaches how to effectively and efficiently draft and prosecute high-quality patent applications. The goal of this program is to help increase the number of diverse candidates entering the patent field while enhancing the quality of their overall practice.

The Harrity Academy is comprised of three courses: Patent Basics, Patent Drafting, and Patent Prosecution. Courses will be broken into regularly scheduled online classes and include practice assignments, speakers, and one-on-one mentorship throughout the course duration. Our first course is Patent Basics, which will be held weekly from 9/8/2020 – 9/29/2020.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. You have a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent fields;
  2. You are able and willing to commit to every scheduled class in the selected course;
  3.
